The thing I dislike about the new year most is the daunting task of removing the remains of the old one. Packing away the decorations, the tree, the returns, the Christmas cards.

As, a stationery designer, with stationery designer friends, I am lucky to receive some amazingly beautiful cards each year. I cannot throw them out so I save them, in drawers, tacked to boards in my studio. It's a waste of some serious art. However, a designer friend of mine Loree Mayer, shared the perfect way to keep the art without stacks of cards. A quiet afternoon and a circle punch later and you have gorgeous garland for next year. Brilliant!
